I just recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and needless to say I’m very pleased with it. When it comes to phones, I’m extremely critical. I’ve owned Motorola’s, Blackberry’s and iPhones. To be honest, I’ve never been a Samsung guy until now. I’ve always hated their appliances, monitors, TV’s etc… They really hit the nail on the head with this phone though. It makes the iPhone4 look like total crap. iPhone may have been the pioneer of touchscreen phone technology but they are now lacking in comparison to Samsung.
What really drew me to the phone right away was its flexibility. It’s literally like having a PC in your hands with a huge application marketplace. I really enjoy being able to customize my “desktop” the way I see fit.
Next were the specifications. How can you beat a 4G phone with a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB of memory, 16GB storage capacity, 8 megapixel camera and 1080p full HD video capture? The Bluetooth and GPS functions work great as well as the front-facing 2 megapixel camera.
The Android 2.3 operating system was the next selling point. It’s usability is ultra smooth and like I said earlier, it has almost endless possibilities for customization. The only thing I dislike is the auto-correct feature when typing. However I think that is an issue on most phones.
Lastly, the phone is light as a feather. It looks absolutely great too – especially in the clear case I bought for mine.
Overall it’s a great product and I’d buy it again if I had to although it is a little on the pricey side. Now I’m already getting tempted to buy the Samsung Galaxy S2 X!
